The Revolution Will Not Be Televised

Gil Scott-Heron, the legendary and sometimes controversial artist of spoken-word, jazz, soul and more in the 70's and 80's, released a fascinating new album called "I'm New Here" earlier this year.
So, this week, a flashback to the seminal track, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised," - which inspired a whole generation of hip-hop artists, poets, and more - as well as two pretty incredible re-imaginings side by side with their originals, Robert Johnson's classic old blues track, and a soulful motown gem from Bobby Bland.
