Blurred Fiction
Everyone's favorite fictional cartoon band, The Gorillaz, recently released Plastic Beach, their first new album in five years. They are currently touring and it looks like they haven't aged a bit. :) This week, a couple of favorites along with tunes from the artists behind the stories. Sometimes fantasy and reality are the coolest when blurred together.
Playlist
1- the gorillaz - on melancholy hill
2- blur - sweet song
3- the gorillaz - el manana
4- deltron 3030 - 3030 (another alternate universe featuring classic rapper del the funky homosapien - this one is about life in 3030 and so much fun)

Soundtrack
This week, three barely-there atmospheric tracks that make you feel like you're in a pivotal scene in a black and white film. Or at least make you feel like whatever you're doing / thinking about at the moment is even more interesting :)
let me know what you think and please do keep those suggestions coming!!

Playlist
1- yeasayer - o.n.e.
now we know what would happen if paul simon, duran duran, and phish had some kind of strange modern offspring. this song is a blast.
2- tennis - marathon
cutesy, lo-fi girl pop from this or last millennium
3- nomak (ft. melodee) - radiant
japanese atmospherics meet indie hip hop
